Thank you for stopping long enough to read this. Whatever brought you — a search, a friend, a hard season, or plain curiosity — I am glad you are here.

Soteria City Church is a people of love, soldiers for Christ, given to prayers and the ministry of the Word. That sentence is not a slogan we chose because it sounded good. It is a description of what we have set our hands to, and what we ask God for every week.

We are convinced that through our life in Christ, God will have all men saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. If that is true — and we believe it with everything we have — then a church cannot be a private club. It has to be a house with the doors open and the table set.

What you can expect

You will find worship that is unhurried, teaching that stays close to the text, and a prayer room that is busy. You will find people who will learn your name without demanding your story. You will not find pressure, and you will not find a collection aimed at you.

Come as you are. You will not be asked to pretend, and you will not be left as you are either.

If you are new to faith entirely, start by simply coming. Sit at the back. Listen. Ask the hardest question you have — we would rather wrestle with it honestly than hand you an answer that does not hold.

If you are carrying something heavy, write to us before Sunday if you would like. Our prayer team stands with people every week, and nothing you send leaves that team.

My prayer for you, as you read this, is simple: that you would meet Jesus Christ plainly — not an idea about Him, and not a version of Him made comfortable — and that meeting Him would change the shape of your life the way it changed mine.
